Earth Day Reading

animal photo books

Kids are fascinated with wild animals, and this interest is a natural way to introduce concepts such as conservation and protecting the Earth. In talks about Earth Day, coming up on April 22, you may want to share four of my picture books, which feature photographs of animals by nationally renowned wildlife photographer Stan Tekiela: Baby Bear Discovers the World, The Cutest Critter, Jump, Little Wood Ducks, and Some Babies Are Wild. You can also find other ideas at this “Save the Earth!” page from National Geographic Kids.
