I’m Seeing Stars!

I’m delighted to be receiving such wonderful attention for my soon-to-be-published picture book Winter Dance. To date, the title has received three starred reviews, from Kirkus, Publishers Weekly, and Booklist (you can see excerpts of each of them here). As Booklist rightfully points out, part of the reason for this praise is Richard Jones’ stunning artwork: “It’s Jones’ soft-lined, textured illustrations that steal the show, as they cast beautiful forest scenes across the page, using a cool wintry palette against which the fox’s orangey-red fur pops.” The book’s official publication date is October 24, so you can view these lovely illustrations in their entirety soon, but in the meantime, here’s a sneak peek:
