Reassuring Young Children

Many parents and teachers are looking for resources to help reassure children during this tumultuous year, and I was reminded of a line from a Booklist review for my picture book Why Do Kittens Purr?: “This simple, lovely bedtime book will help preschoolers think about the language of animals and the world around them, but more important, it communicates that all is right with the world.” And just a reminder: the simple act of cuddling in to share a bedtime story together is a huge comfort of its own, for both child and parent.
