Mother’s Day Is on the Way

This spring has seen many alterations in family dynamics; some family members have had the chance to spend more time together than ever before, while others have had to find new and creative ways to stay connected while physically separated. All of these changes may give Mother’s Day 2020 a whole new resonance for many of us, but for the youngest among us, it will stay simple: May 10 is just a special day to celebrate Mom! Three of my picture books provide snuggling opportunities for reading together with these young listeners on the big day: My Mother Is Mine, Grandmother’s Song, and A Mama for Owen.
