Pets Can Help Kids Build Reading Skills

In the past I’ve shared information about some of the wonderful programs that build children’s literacy skills by having them read aloud to shelter animals. This piece provides some additional great suggestions for involving family pets as a way to encourage young readers at home. After all, what could be better than snuggling in with a kitten and sharing a “purr”fectly good read like Little Cat’s Luck?
