Read Your Way to Mother’s Day

Why not help your classroom or family plan ahead for Mother’s Day (May 14) by sharing books that celebrate moms of all sorts? For example, the Teaching Expertise website has a list of “30 Endearing Mother’s Day Books for Kids,” which notes that my title A Mama for Owen is “a wonderful story that enlightens the beauty aside from a birth mother.” You might also want to check out my picture books My Mother Is Mine and Grandmother’s Song to round out your reading list.
