Reading Aloud Sessions Benefit Big Kids Too!

Reading aloud with older children can be just as rewarding—and have as many benefits—as reading aloud with your little ones. This piece, “The hidden benefits of reading aloud—even for older kids,” outlines some of the important reasons to continue to set aside reading time as your child grows up. Several of my own titles—including my novel On My Honor—also dig deep into the parent/child relationship and tackle complex emotions. This all provides even more opportunities for turning this shared time into meaningful discussions with kids as they grow up and begin tackling complicated issues for themselves.
